Building a City-by-City Growth Engine

Business Development & Customer Success

Summary

I helped build the business from the ground up by traveling city-to-city, onboarding restaurants onto our loyalty platform, improving their sales, and amplifying their online presence through coordinated media content.

Context

Restaurants don’t need theory — they need results, quickly. The business demanded real-world hustle: meeting owners, handling rejection, onboarding fast, and proving value in a way that felt tangible. Retention depended on trust and real outcomes, not promises.

What I Worked On

I traveled across major cities to acquire and onboard restaurant partners onto our platform, setting them up for success and ensuring they understood how to use it effectively. I helped partners improve sales through structured onboarding and ongoing support, focusing on adoption rather than just signing.

A key differentiator was combining software onboarding with media leverage. I coordinated with our writing team to create articles and promotional collateral about partner restaurants — increasing their online presence and giving them a reputational boost beyond the platform itself. This created a stronger partnership dynamic: restaurants felt seen, not processed.

Why It Mattered

Growth became repeatable and grounded in real trust. Partners saw value through both sales impact and stronger visibility. The model proved that acquisition, onboarding, retention, and marketing storytelling can work together when execution is disciplined.

Key Systems & Tools
  1. Partner onboarding playbooks

  2. Customer success routines

  3. Media coordination workflows (articles, features, collateral)

  4. CRM fundamentals and pipeline tracking

What I Would Improve Next

Add partner segmentation and a simple health-score system to predict churn early and tailor support better.
